I’ve been thinking about a greenhouse ever since I bought the 20 acres around me. It’s hard getting information on greenhouses because most commercial greenhouse owners aren’t the ones with boots on the ground talking to customers and when they are they are too busy.

Yesterday I went to a greenhouse and the owner was there and very proud of his two 30x45 foot houses he built last fall. When I mentioned I wanted to build one he asked me a.dozen questions and then gave me a class on what kind of greenhouses can withstand a Wisconsin winter. Not only that but he gave me a greenhouse catalog and told me to call them as they will sell to anyone that wants to buy one. I’m still working on my garage project this year but might work on landscaping the foundation to build one next year.

I’m really developing this property and making it a place where I want to spend the rest of my life.

Flowers. Lots of flowers.

Around here the places that build and sell sheds also sell greenhouses but it sounds like you’re thinking bigger than that. Might be worth a look tho…

Great idea, Gene. Up here, greenhouses make a ton of sense with our short growing seasons, not to mention less than great soils and all the deer. Did I mention the deer?
