Two new Henry's yesterday

Post by Muddy » Thu Jan 30, 2020 9:32 pm

I got my 410 side gate and my Goldenboy 22 mag yesterday. I am pleased with both. The Goldenboy action is super smooth. The 410 action is a bit loose but not bad. I understand why, the lever is pinned in a different place and that obviously changes the geometry allowing for a bit of side to side movement. I can live with it. Everything else is absolutely perfect. Lots of oohs and aahs from friends.

I’ve been thinking about the 410 side gate. I really want the axe but it’s not yet available.

Congrats on the new ones.

I sure wish the 410's were chamber for three 3" shells though.
Love to hear a range report on that thing though.

If Henry were to design an action for the three inch 410 they would be able to use it for the 45 90. Just thinking out loud.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

You and me both! I would call HRA customer service and get them to send me a full buttstock for it though. I’m thinking it might be the next purchase...
