Re: Levergun shooting today.
I like your thinking here Randy, the .41 would be a solid choice. I believe you have too many .35's; you should send one to me for "Western Evaluation!" Ok, ok, thought I'd try. Good luck this coming weekend Randy.

.
Set of nice pistols there.
Now as for the dozen waiting their turn, be sure to make that a bakers dozen. A new Henry 38-55 is calling you for a home

DId the Winchester start life as a commemorative?
I see what looks like a gold plated load gate and the octagon barrel are reminiscent of a comem.
It also appears to have the black chrome, post 64 finish on the receiver and nose cap.
I have seen a few mod 94's that started out as commemoratives and were re-stocked and sometimes plated parts replaced with blue.

Very nice selection of rifles and revolvers to choose from! What .45 Colt load do you like in the Marlin?

Re: Levergun shooting today.
The Ruger is SBH 7,5" barrel non ported and was the first pistol I took a deer with.
Was a small scrub buck, he was about 60 yds. One shot with a 240 jsp put him down on the spot. He was quartering away, right through the heart and exited the opposite shoulder.
Riding down the road at the moment when I get home I will finish about the others.

No it is a '94 Classic and the way they came from Winchester, my dad had one when I was growing up.Mistered wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 3:03 pmDId the Winchester start life as a commemorative?

My nephew ended up with it, or he was suppose to, but that's another story.
I bought this one a few years ago in like new condition, of all my rifles it's seen the least action.
But I sure would love to down a deer with it.
There's one on gunbroker now, item #845108108 I have a bid in on it.

That's a good load! Alliant 2400 works well for hotter .45 loads too.Vaquero wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 5:04 pmWas shooting 10.0 hrs Unique but now 9.5, and I can't tell if much difference.fortyshooter wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 3:43 pmVery nice selection of rifles and revolvers to choose from!
