Levergun shooting today.

Post by Vaquero » Sun Nov 17, 2019 3:32 pm

Yep, shot some levergun today.
Just checking zero on some hunting rifles, our rifle deer season starts this coming Saturday.
All preformed nicely, either dead on or slightly high at 50 yes. which is where I like these.
Left to right
Henry BBS 41 Mag, Marlin 35 Rem, Winchester 30-30, Henry BBB 44 Mag, and Marlin Cowboy 45 colt.

Guess you can tell I like octagons a little.
So I should be ready next weekend, should I miss, :o
I won't be able to blame the rifles.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

.
Good looking 5! Best looking of those, BB Brass with octagon barrel. The remaining dozen are impatiently waiting.

Leaning towards the 41, but it really depends on what the game cameras show next Fri.
The 35 could squeeze it out.
But if the camera close to the house shows the best option, either of the open sighted ones could work easily.
As all those shots would most likely be 50 yds. or less. But,
my thing is if they get inside of 30-35 yds., I start reaching for the pistol.
