Longer barrels are an aesthetic I prefer but on the practical side, it is all about Sight Radius .
I can get easily the bullet to go fast enough.

Yeah, balistics by the inch indicates 18-20" to be max effective for the 357.

The 45-70 octagon barrel models have a 22" barrel.

Built in America for Americans. If you like short barrels get one, if you like a 24" octagon barrel hope Henry will make one for the Big Boy. If they don't think they are popular Why have I been waiting 5 weeks to get a 24" barrel Frontier. Still waiting.
