Hopefully you have this shipped by now.
It shouldn't take Henry long and they will have it back promptly, to be sure.

Yelp , got it in the mail Wednesday morning........Now it's just playing the waiting game , first time that I've ever sent a firearm back . I have always just fixed them myself , but only two ways to fix this one 1.new barrel or 2. Cut it off and recrown it ........ #2 ain't gonna happen lol

The shipping issue is weird, but likely not something that was determined by HRA. As they say, "Stuff happens". Keep us posted.

.
The return label issued to you by Henry determines the transport method. It was likely 'Ground'. Since it (firearm) can't go through Canada by ground, UPS put it on the next available flight to the lower 48 (aka LA). It went by ground from there to New Jersey instead of Rice Lake because the repairs for brass center fires are performed in New Jersey. It will be interesting to see what the return route to Alaska looks like.

Yeah , not blaming it on Henry ...... its always a crap shoot when things ship Ups ground from here , just kinda surprised it didn't go to a hub closer to New Jersey......... but then again that is usually my luck !!!!!!

I suspect on return it'll go to the nearest hub with the first available flight back to Alaska. Then again UPS might want to maximize as much 'ground' as possible before putting it on plane.
