I believe that the failure to fire issue is caused by the magazine spring being too powerful.
Have you considered disasssembling the mag and trying to lighten the spring?
Maybe have Henry send you a new spring, or a complete mag so you have some extra parts for experimentation.

I would advise patience, at this point. Your issues came to a head just prior to a holiday weekend, the "right folks" are not necessarily around waiting for your incoming email, so give HRA some time to react/respond before you go whacking away at your mag spring...

The metal clip on the bottom of the magazine slides off with a firm grasp. The lift spring and plate then just drop out. I compressed the spring with my fingers/thumbs of both hands as hard as I was able and got enough reduction to my satisfaction.

FWIW, I sent the rifle back to Rice Lake this morning. 2nd day air paid for by Henry. I also got a personal Email from Mr. Imperato that they have a team assigned to fix the problem.
I am pleased with their response, I await the result.

Rifle returned from Rice Lake this morning. MUCH improvement noted!! Note with returned rifle indicates consistent trigger pull of 4-1/4 lbs.
I actually got one let off at 3=1/2 lbs. with my pull gauge.
Creep is gone! Received an accessory package courtesy of Mr. Imperato.
I AM A HAPPY CAMPER !!

Glad to hear it, Bob, but not surprised! Let us know how it goes at the range!
