Henry big boy deluxe 2nd edition
Hi, new to the group. I recently acquired a henry big boy deluxe brass engraved 2nd edition 44 magnum. Was looking for some help on what it’s value is. I have not been able to find any information on the first or second edition in regards to value so I was hoping Someone on here might be able to help. Thanks so much no

Re: Henry big boy deluxe 2nd edition
Greetings from the Show-Me-State, Staged.
The BBB is a fine-looking lever-action. I don't know the value; sorry I can't help on that.
But I bet the shooting of it will say it's worth a lot.
Are you shooting it?
Or is it a collector piece for you?
Either way is good...just enjoy!

Re: Henry big boy deluxe 2nd edition
Looks like the 3rd Editions are out there at about $1,400-$1,500. As to what the 2nd Edition might bring, it's like about any other firearm: whatever someone is willing to pay.
GunBroker, for example, doesn't appear to have any 2nd Editions in their database, but that doesn't mean there aren't some out there.
You'd have to find someone who REALLY wants a 2nd Edition to see what its worth might be. Otherwise, buyers tend to just go for the latest and most available version, especially considering that this is a "series" of Deluxe releases by Henry of this gun in this caliber.
Then there's the issue of the condition of yours specifically, whether it's been fired or not, do you have all the goodies (box, papers, hang tag(s), etc.), so it's hard to say without more details.
All that said, these are not usually appreciating assets with much collector value.

Re: Henry big boy deluxe 2nd edition
Well, as you know, it's still a "used" rifle, so it's pretty much a matter of what the market will bear. $1,200 wouldn't be unreasonable, I wouldn't think, but it's just a matter of finding someone who wants one in "unfired, no box" condition.
Hope that helps!

Welcome to the forum. Without the box will lessen the value of it. Like Evan says its worth what someone will pay for it.
