I seem to spend a lot of time at my local Wal Marts. Just a few days ago my wife and I stopped in to the Herkimer, NY Wal Mart as we just got off the NY State Thruway and needed a few things. Of course I found myself over in sporting goods looking for some good deals when I saw a man and his wife looking over a Henry lever action 45-70 with a brass receiver. I asked him if he was buying it and he said, "yup, it's my second one". I then unzipped my jacket and showed him I was wearing my Henry t-shirt. We talked a couple minutes and I told him how I just purchased my first Henry last January. It was great chatting with them. I then wondered later on if he was part of this forum. If he is, and reads this, it was nice to meet you!
I then spoke to the clerk about a few different boxes of ammo and she told me how busy she's been all afternoon. She said in the three hours she's been there she sold three rifles. I hope they were all Henrys.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Great story.
I was out this afternoon shooting my 20''bbl frontier 22. I had my 10'' steel target out at 150 yards, I was to be able to hit it really well (from a rest). Funny, it almost feels like I'm shooting by instinct rather than aim point. The 20'' octagonal barrel has a bit of heft to it,that really helps steady your hold.
Fun to shoot, I'm a fan.

That sounded like fun, been to darn windy around here lately for any long range Rimfire shootin.spsix wrote:Great story.

just finished building a portable Gong shootin stand, just been plinking at it in the back yard at 45 yds.
Sorry side track, always good to meet fellow Henry lovers.
Got a couple good friends who are also fans.

All gun owners are Henry fans. Some just don’t realize it yet!
