That steel 357 is an excellent deer gun. I used mine for the first time on deer a couple weeks ago. It did the job. I used American Eagle 158 grn sjsp for a good effect. The deer ran about 75 yards and dropped. Not my best shot, but certainly adequate.

I don't have a collection yet. But I have been considering a single shot. Not sure on caliber yet. Leaning toward the 243, but the 308 is attractive also.

Glad to see your little Henry family. It really is an addictive thing.

So far my Henry 'collection' consists of the H012MAW in 357/38, a H001T Octagon barrel in 22 and the H001L Carbine in 22. I love them all, a lot. But the All Weather just has something about it to where it's always in the forefront of all the other options I have to shoot. I'll likely install the large loop on it like I did with the 'T'. To me, it just looks like it belongs their. I do wish Henry would make a Carbine All Weather in 357 as well. I certainly don't 'need' it but it would be another fine companion for the current All Weather as well as the Ruger GP100.

I've not posted any pictures yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to include a pink towel. I'm certain there's one, or used to be one, somewhere in the towel closet. ;)

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

357 is a fine deer caliber out around the 100 yd line.
Have done it myself

And medium sized black bear with the right load within that range! Not to mention shot placement, on anything!
