Henry Rifles @ Walmart
Re: Henry Rifles @ Walmart
Had an errand to run in Forest Grove today. It was an opportunity to see what the Walmart there and the nearby Coastal Farm Supply carried in firearms.
The Walmart carries mostly BB and Air guns. They also had two vertical swivel rifle display cases. The first contained maybe 10 shot guns. The second display case was mostly .22 rifles. There were also 2 large caliber lever guns. The one I couldn't see the tags to see what it was. But it did have a side loading gate. Looked like a .30-30. The 2nd was a Henry brass 45-70 for $747. There were no lever locks on either.
I did buy a revolver at Coastal. http://henryrifleforums.com/viewtopic.p ... 157#p86152

I see the Henry 22s, Marlin lower end 336 and the model 60 22. I also see savage in my local upstate NY Walmart stores. They also have a good supply of ammo, at the best prices around.

Around me the WMs that carry long guns typically have the Henry 22’s (the H001) and often have the 45-70 octagon brass. Sometimes they have a 22 octagon, a 30-30 in brass or blued receiver or a Big Boy Steel in .44 or .357.

I'm apprehensive to buy ANYTHING at Walmart that cost more than $20, as I think they are a chinese factory 2nd outlet.
I guess there guns are OK, but I would still buy from Academy as the prices are the same.

Plenty of Walmart’s in the Oklahoma City area and many of them sell long guns. I’ve seen Henry’s from blued .22, Golden Boys, and even brass Big Boys in several calibers. There are usually 2-3 Henry rifles at any given time at each location.
