The berm is higher than I can hit a tin can flying at the range I use. But I’ve been to ranges where I couldn’t.Mistered wrote:Your backstop is higher than the can is flying I hope.An example would be hitting a can just right so that it flies up into the air and then hitting it again while it is still in motion in the air.
Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

1. It is proudly made in the USA!
2. The overall quality is second to none.
3. It doesn’t have a loading gate like a Marlin
4. When I take it to the range everybody takes notice and asks about it. Even the AR-15 guys.
5. It is cheap and easy to reload.
6. Hands down it is more fun to shoot than any other rifle or handgun I own. I would even say it’s pretty close to trap doubles, sporting clays and 5-stand.

Or a Winchester.3. It doesn’t have a loading gate like a Marlin
The loading gate (or lack of) is always going to be a 'charged' issue with some.
That the Henry does NOT have one is not necessarily good or bad, right or wrong but I have mentioned before there ARE some definite advantages to the tube feed with shorter, HANDGUN ammo - but I still believe a loading gate is more advantageous for longer, rifle rounds.

No I just like to multi task and shoot cows over in the next county. Really insulting comment.Mistered wrote:I hope Your backstop is higher than the can is flying. An example would be hitting a can just right so that it flies up into the air and then hitting it again while it is still in motion in the air.

Agree on USA, customer service, quality, etc., but also the fact that they are constantly putting out new products and listen to their customers. IMHO the H001 is the best deal around in new leverguns.

Henry is the only lever rifles I've ever owned but I like them better than the semi-auto's I've owned from two other manufacturers.
My top reasons:
American made with real walnut stocks
Lifetime guarantee
Very smooth action, especially the .22's
Customer service is excellent (my experience)

He’s in South Florida and you are in Orygun, so I figure you’re safe!Mistered wrote:I hope Your backstop is higher than the can is flying.
No disrespect meant Mugs! I don’t think MisterEd meant his comment to be an attack on you. One of the things I like most about my Henrys is the group of people it brought to this forum. That and the looks, endless model options, smooth as silk action, accuracy, customer service...
