Re: Back To Henry
I did confirm that today is their last working day between now and Jan 2nd .... I was relieved to see ours was officially delivered to Rice Like earlier today .... I was concerned that it might not make it and end up sitting at some UPS facility until they reopen ... have they given you a link to a "Customer Portal" where you can monitor the process .... if so, you can go to that site and change shipping instructions ... I didn't know that and called, they did it for me

Re: Back To Henry
I hope it works out, but on my warranty service I used my office address for return shipment, all went well.

Re: Back To Henry
the lady I spoke with about the return shipping was a pleasure to work with .... she understood the fact that we will be traveling and not at home for over 3 months .... her only concern was making sure it would be sent where we wanted .... the fellow in Texas who will receive it is the gunsmith who worked on its trigger pull .... I'm considering having him perform a couple of other upgrades when he gets it .... should something happen that prevents us from getting there, I'll pay for him to ship it to our home

Re: Back To Henry
A friend of mine just got a good used Henry 45-70 for Christmas. Might get to shoot it sometime soon. Ammo is $2-$3 a round up here though....ouch.

Re: Back To Henry
Not much cheaper on 45-70 factory ammo down here, either. It's why we shoot our 45-70 Contender carbine only once in a great while. I think you'll enjoy the 45-70, though, RR. Nothing quite like it.

I think he needs one up there myself. Having one of those in hand when Griz is in the area might be kinda handy

Just dropped off my Henry BBB 357 for its trip back to NJ to the Henry factory. Not a word was said at the UPS Station about the package. Nice lady gave me a receipt and I was out the door. More to come as I have updates

.
Went to the UPS Store today to send some Christmas presents we forgot to send earlier to my youngest's family in California. They very much wanted to know what was in the box. Maybe it's a shipping into California thing, that causes questions to be asked. Fruits/Vegetables/Ammo.

Re: Back To Henry
The last time I shipped reloads to PT7 in MO from the UPS Customer Service Center in CT, the clerk had me open the package for inspection, even though I declared the contents. No problem; just a precaution because of recent malicious packages in the pipeline. She then sealed it up and sent it off. They're on the front lines; I was happy to comply.Mags wrote:Went to the UPS Store today to send some Christmas presents we forgot to send earlier to my youngest's family in California.
