.
Yes sir there are us traditionalists...
also those in the die-hard tactical crowd...
And those who experience a lever action epiphany.

I experienced my lever action epiphany when I was 17. I went out and bought my first gun then, and I looked at two options:

1. A brand new Winchester 1894AE in .30-30 for $295

2. A 1912 manufacture Winchester 1894 in .30 WCF for $350

I’ll give you one guess which one is still in my safe after 33 years!

If one is a collector or connoisseur of firearms, I would say the 1912. Since I am neither, I just like to shoot. I would say the new one. I see, I would be wrong though.

I'm not a connoisseur either. But I do prefer well maintained vintage over new. There is no 'wrong' answer. Just personal preference. Liking to shoot and shooting is the right answer.

I’m neither one as well, but since mine is really similar to the one below, I’d say I made the correct choice. Mine is not, and will not be for sale, so the value is moot. Just interesting.

No denying my 'proclivities' when it comes to classic/vintage levers!
