My local UPS store will ship firearms, but only the UPS Service Center will ship ammo.

When I sent my SGC back to Henry a couple of months back, I was advised by Henry to take it to the main UPS hub rather than the UPS Store. But my FFL, who is much closer than the UPS hub, allowed me to bring the boxed and labeled gun to him, to be picked up by his UPS driver along with another rifle that he was shipping somewhere.

In my area around Denver. UPS will only ship firearms at their main hub. All the small outlet UPS stores told me they can’t accept and I need to take it there.

given, this is my first experience with sending a Henry rifle back for customer service .... I didn't realize that when Henry authorizes a return they email you a code to use in their "Customer Portal" .... doing so provides you with really good info on tracking your rifle .... it also shows the info you gave them that is to be passed onto the gunsmith .... I'm sure glad I checked it this morning because it was instantly clear that I'd done a terrible job of relating the issue to Henry's rep .... the fellow I spoke with this morning sounded a bit sleepy :D but was a pleasure to work with .... he corrected the info .... our rifle is due to get to them tomorrow .... I'll breathe a bit easier when I know its in their hands

This is new. It's been a while since I've had to send mine back, but this was not available then. HRA, the best CS in the world.

I used the portal feature when I sent my LR back in, and, once it was received, there wasn't a lot in the way of updates until it shipped back out to me. In other words, I didn't get blow-by-blow updates from the repair bench. The repair notes, however, that came back with the rifle gave good details as to what they did.
