Re: NEW 45/ 70 Question
Ok so after reading this I went to the basement and pulled mine out of the safe. The only hesitation I get is when the bolt passes over the top of the hammer when working the action slowly. Other than that mine is smooth as silk. Maybe you are feeling the bolt passing over the top of the hammer because this does happen at about half of the stroke.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: NEW 45/ 70 Question
I guess I really dont notice mine to much as the lever should be cycled with a meaning behind it. Im sure with time it will smooth out some. I do coat my bolts with some synthetic oil and I do think that helps.
