.45-70 ammo
Would appreciate any input about experiences using the Hornady Leverevolution FTX 325 gr loads in their Henry .45-70 as a round for whitetail deer. I'm sure many of you folks handload and are able to tweak your favorite rounds. At this time I am looking for a good factory hunting load. Any feedback would be helpful

Re: .45-70 ammo
we've had some reports of issues using Lever Revolution ammo ... we've also had some reports of it working really well .... our Henry chambered and fired it OK but there was something about the feel that I didn't care for .... as you noted, we load our own .... if I was to use factory ammo to hunt with, I'd go with HSM Bear Loads ===> https://www.cabelas.com/product/HSM-Bea ... s?slotId=1 <=== our Henry really likes it .... for range ammo, I would go with HSM Cowboy Action bullets ===> https://www.cabelas.com/product/HSM-COW ... s?slotId=0 <=== it has proven to be accurate and fun to fire

Re: .45-70 ammo
Certainly appreciate the input. I have no personal experience with the Leverevolution but I have read many mixed reviews. The HSM ammo users give it some high marks on ammo reviews I have looked at. Thanks again.
