Henry's new "Black" guns

Post by daytime dave » Thu May 10, 2018 6:30 am

Henry recently showed some new guns that were not blue steel and walnut. What do you all think?

I can live with "all weather" guns with composite stocks and stainless construction. There's a place for that kind of lever gun/single shot for some applications. We don't really need that kind of gun, though we do have a number of composite/stainless Contender rigs. Just happened to be that setup when we found them for sale.

As I said in a previous thread - an answer to a problem that does not exist.

I am partial to wood. Stainless, I like. My S&W 357 came stainless with wooden grips. I have since replaced the wooden grips for rubber ones. They seem to look and feel better. As far as for a rifle, I think I would prefer a wooden stock and forearm with stainless. I think it would wear better than the bluing with less attention to handling. But with adequate maintenance, either probably will last longer than I will be on this earth.

To Henry Folk who are not on Instagram, as I'm not. This web article has pics and info on Henry "X Series Concept" firearms.
