Home made sling

Post by Dahliathemeh » Mon Mar 19, 2018 2:52 pm

Just made this this week, a paracord sling using real military grade cord, rated at 750. This is about 100 feet total, and a little thicker than 550. Hurt like Hades making it, I thought it's worth it.
Oh yeah, the girl came out in me so I bought matching colors to Xanadu. (The rifles name) It's also the very first one I ever made too.

Very cool. Is it comfortable? Looks like it.

Some paracord I've handled seems to feel "slippery." Does your sling stay on the shoulder okay?
BTW, nice color match up.

Yes, it's comfortable. No, it's not slippery. I don't think it will stretch at all.
Like I said, the cord is rated at 750, the sling swivels are made to hold over 300lbs. So if the stuff hits the fan, I should be covered! :D

That is a lot of work. I lose patience lacing a stock cover on...

Cool looking. Matches the rifle well.
