Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Actually, I think I would get the Small Game Rifle in 22 WMR.
I like the caliber and the gun, seems like an all round hunting package.

BBS .357 I reload and could most likely shoot it cheaper than a .22 WMR.

I agree with Travlin. My BBS carbine is extremely versatile because I can load 38 special down to small game velocities, and 357 is plenty capable of taking bigger game.

Re: Which one would you choose and why.
I believe that HRA makes the only lever action(s) in 17HMR. The Octagon in 17HMR would be my choice.
I think the make the only .327 but that don't float my boat.

Hey guys, when you say that you can load special loads and such for a wide variety of games and conditions, I would just like to say we're not talking about owning one gun, right? I mean I get to keep my Marlins and Winchester?
There was another thread about if you could only have one gun. Maybe we should start that thread again?

I'm still sticking with the BBS carbine in 357. Out of the 4 lever actions I own, it would be the one I kept IF I had to choose.

Re: Which one would you choose and why.
for me, it would be a tough choice .... I'd probably go with our CCH 45-70 .... it can do everything our 357 & 44 Mag can do but they can't do everything it can .... light load it with Cowboy Action ammo and it ain't bad to shoot .... load it with full power ammo and it can take down anything walking in this country

ONE LEVERGUN! It would be a 45-70 for it's versatility but I'd be forced to choose a Marlin 1895CB with it's 23inch tapered octagon barrel.BigAl52 wrote:We could!!!!! Or I could say if you could only have ONE levergun which one would it be and why
