The look of the All Weathers is really starting to grow on me. Nice rifle!

Good for you on the red dot. That should make for a fast, easy to shoot rig.

With each passing year, now, I find it harder and harder to maintain my edge with iron sights, even peep sights. Really getting frustrating to settle for less than what I've always been able to do. It hurts. It really does. I will always have some guns set up and ready to go with irons sights, though. Still love shooting iron, but more and more I find myself using red dots and scopes.

My feelings exactly NCG. I did order a barrel mount Skinner sight for one of my Henry 22's just to see how that works. I have never shot with that kind of sight before. With the regular steel sights I have to pick out which rear sight to use

Update. I installed the barrel mount Skinner peep on my H001. To my surprise I tapped it into place and centered it up by eye on the barrel. I loaded up one time and with no windage or elevation adjustments made and I was hitting a 6" plate at 50 yards and even hit a 4" plate a few times. This was from sitting on a picnic table. I was pleased to be able to shoot like this right off the bat with these old eyes.
