Update on my .357 woes. Henry acknowledge receiving it yesterday. No ETA back to me.
You know even with my issues with Henrys quality on this gun, I really like the company and my rifle. So much so that even while dealing with the problems I had, I bought another rifle, my small game .22 , which I truly enjoy. I have run through 300+ rounds of CCI'S ammo in the short time I have had it and not one problem with the rifle. I believe that Henry will get through this rough patch ( if it truly exist) of Quality problems. And I will continue to purchase ( finances allowing) Henry products. (That darn .327 keeps calling my name.)
Just thought I put that out there.

Sir, you are not helping me with my addiction of " Henry's" by encouraging one to follow me home. The .22 is already enshrined in the count.

Got a letter from Henry acknowledging receiving rifle. Said they would have it fixed in thirty days. Not what I wanted to hear. The saga continues......

That could be a good thing. It could mean more time is being taken to ensure that the issue is corrected.

received the rifle today. Replaced inner tube. Works like a champ. cleaned the gun from their test firing and raring to go. But....They did not notify me it was coming like they said they would. Luckily I was home. I was suppose to be on Jury duty today but they did not need me(darn it) and came home just before it was delivered. They did not indicate on their web site status form that you log into with special codes, to track progress on the return. It still has not shown that it was shipped. They did not respond to a status inquiry email that I was assured they would per letter received Feb. 9th. I think in the future, I will bite the bullet( bad pun) and take any problems to a local gun smith, recommended by a LGS. Ok, I am done with this saga and I don't want to talk about it anymore. I am going shooting tomorrow and take out my frustration on some poor innocent targets.

Peace everyone,
Mike

Thanks for the update, Mike. I'm looking forward to your range report, too.

I think Henry would appreciate hearing about the issues you experienced with their system to track the progress of returns. I worked in IT for a large university and know first hand that user support tracking issues are very often bugs in the software and/or user error, over which the client (Henry) has little control without feedback like yours. Stuff happens. Good people learn and get better. Software is continually being analysed and improved. Certainly, Henry did not intend your experience. I'd let them know what happened to you in detail.

That was the major point I intended for this post. We all need to work with Henry to resolve the issues. Thank you all for your input.
