This is the original gun sock. Wife says I am cheap. I prefer frugal.

My .357. Actually, I am waiting for Santa to bring me stuff. I was forbidden to buy anything at the beginning of Nov. With five grandkids, two of my own and various brothers and sisters asking my wife what to buy me for Christmas, I had to make a list ( and checking it twice). Gun socks are on the list as well as .327 carbine. I don't think I'll get the rifle.

Looks good to me, Wiz. Necessity is the mother of invention, and all that. ;)

Well, it should have cut down on scratches if nothing else. Is it wrong to have a rifle and expect for it not to get scratches? Is it like having a truck and expecting for it not to get dings? Is that asking for too much?

Santa also knows if you washed those socks 1st!

Lately I've been thinking old blue jean legs would make good gun socks.

Oh, heck! I wonder what I can make out of a piece of coal.

Socks smell good. Like gun oil and solvent. Hmmmm.

Yep! It gets to be a little frosty at times on the outside ranges , but all in all, it is not bad.
