This may have been mentioned previously...but I'd love to get a variant of my H010 in .348 Winchester!

You built them on virgin receivers? I've always wanted to do that with a rifle caliber receiver.

Re: Stuff Henry ought to be making.
I had a 71 Winchester for several years. It was probably the smoothest lever action made. I shot it a lot , reloaded the cartridges with jacketed and my own cast bullets. I always wondered why Winchester didn't make it a true .35 caliber and call it the 350 Winchester as .348 was an orphan size. I finally sold it for four times what it cost me and replaced it with a Savage 99-358 with a good 3x9 scope on it.

No I bought two .22LR Mare's Legs and removed the barrel. Then I bought two .22WMR rifles, removed those barrels, cut them down and installed them on the Mare's Legs. One was a round barrel and the other was an octagon barrel. Other modifications and parts were needed but this is the short story.SingleAction357 wrote:Sir Henry wrote:Two of them are in .22WMR which Henry did not make when I built them. I then sent the donor rifles back to Henry to have rebarreled.

Here's and easy one. Long Ranger with a longer barrel, say 22-24 inches. Just to get the last of the fps out of those high intensity cartridges.
Yeah sorry been reading Chuck Hawks again.

I love the look of the 24 in Octagon rimfire rifles. If they only made one in 17 HMR.
That's a cartridge that could put to good use the extra 4 inches of barrel.
And one chambered in 17 WSM while they're at it.

I completely agree with you. With all the single shot shotguns and rifles, a combo gun is the next progression in my opinion.
It may have been done before, but I can't remember seeing it. I'd like a .357 mag over a 20 gauge. A .44 mag over a 12 gauge and a 5.56 over a 20 gauge, just to name a few. All in beautiful wood with deep bluing. Of course the first one I'd want is the .22 lr over a .410. You can't have enough of them.

Gotta agree also with you Dave especially a 357 over a 20 gauge. One of those would be welcome at my house.

A 357 over a 20 is my dream gun. Savage used to make em', but no more.daytime dave wrote:SingleAction357 wrote:We need a combo gun, 30-30 over 20 gauge.
