Henry .41 magnum rifle
I recently bought my Henry .22 LR Frontier long barrel and I'm sold. Henry makes a great firearm. I carry a Ruger Blackhawk .41 mag and I'm thinking of getting one of the new .41 mag rifles for use in brushy areas. Anyone have any experience with this caliber of rifle, any feed back on ballistics?

Re: Henry .41 magnum rifle
I have one of the first 41 Henrys to come out in the longer barrel. 41 mag is probably my favorite round. I would think that since you mentioned you have a blackhawk that you probably already reload for it. I also have a Blackhawk, Freedom Arms and a Smith in the same caliber. Ive only shot plinking type loads in mine which I use Unique for. I have not ever sat down and loaded any high velocity loads for it. But if I did my powder of choice would be 2400 with a Hornady XTP bullet. The 41 is a great round IMHO and the only drawback I see to it is if you dont reload one needs to do a big search for ammo at a decent price. It can be had but its tough to find. Al

I have shot both std and carbine. The full size is very accurate, the carbine is more fun to handle.

Serial number five. Nice, a real piece to hand down generations with a story.
