I would think that since you mentioned you have a blackhawk that you probably already reload for it. I also have a Blackhawk, Freedom Arms and a Smith in the same caliber. Ive only shot plinking type loads in mine which I use Unique for. I have not ever sat down and loaded any high velocity loads for it. But if I did my powder of choice would be 2400 with a Hornady XTP bullet. The 41 is a great round IMHO and the only drawback I see to it is if you dont reload one needs to do a big search for ammo at a decent price. It can be had but its tough to find. Al
I use210gr bullet with 9gr of 4895 for target loads, hunting I use 210 jacketed soft nose and 20gr of H110. Plenty of power for me. Love the gun.

Nosler's 210 JHP moving anywhere near 1700 fps is a very capable round that should serve you well

I really enjoy my .41 Henry. The Blackhawk is the perfect companion gun for it.

Ballistics ... I'm not sure what you are looking for, but it's a capable 100 yard deer rifle.

As with any cartridge, heavier bullet choices will hit harder further away, but lower velocities will have more perceived drop while in flight.

Light bullets will shoot faster and flatter, but loose their potency sooner at longer distances.

My go to is the 210gr RNFP hard cast. A .41 caliber hole is plenty. I don't worry about expansion.
