I have a Marlin 336 octagon barrel Zane Grey 100th anniversary that is number 1X. Not worth any more money than the higher numbered Zane Grey model 336.

I’ve been told a low serial number doesn’t bring any more money however they do sell faster.

I agree, may be a bragging point but other than that, none.
As for mine, the guy had four and gave me the choice,
he had one for sure and maybe another that was lower than the one I picked.
But the other numbers had no significance to me.

Soon after Henry announced the single shots, I ordered a 45-70 from a Dealer in Rice Lake (you can almost see the plant from there ), but it took a while before they were actually shipping them. The serial number is 191, if I remember correctly. It's currently back in Rice Lake, on the recall, being worked on as we speak .

how low is low? Got one BBS rifle serial # 5 Got one in BBS carbine Serial#462 both in 41 Rem mag in 44 mag carbine 1124 and in 22 SGC #5978
