X Model in 357/38.

Post by stickmaker » Sat Nov 21, 2020 10:02 pm

Has any on heard if Henry has resumed production on the X Model line? I have been trying to get an X Model Big Boy in 357 since June. I check with on line and local Henry dealers once or twice a week. No one has any Idea when or if they will have any this year. I have sent a number of emails to Henry with no response. I have thought about getting a different model but I want the side loading option and threaded barrel. I have not seen anything in 357 I like better so far so I will wait.

Have you tried to get Henry to drop ship you one to your FFL. Might be worth a call to them.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I agree with Al .... I've done that once and found Henry to be more than willing to help

When I was searching last summer I contacted Henry and they were willing to put me on a list but couldn’t estimate a date that they would have one available. I decided to buy a BB Steel for the time being and wait for an X-model. My thoughts were to enjoy the Steel for now and sell it when I get the X-Model. Ha, that’s not going to happen, I’m sure I will just keep them both. :D

Saw a 45 LC, 45/70, and a 410 X model at the LGS yesterday but no 357. I looked at Bud's website last night and they have no 357s at all. I believe Al is correct in guessing a call to Henry to get put on a list is probably your best bet. Good luck.
