327 vs 357 Henry
How loud are these rifles? I understand the 327 it wuite loud in a revolver. I am aware that the H&R and 38 can also be used and that will lower the noise.

Have a 357 x model. Don't have 327 and don't know that I have been around anyone firing one. So here is what I can tell you. Seems to me that the noise is less then when shooting a 9mm pistol. Using 38 specials even more so.

Many reports have stated that the .327 rifle will also cycle with .32 S&W Longs and they seem to sound about like an air rifle. There are videos out there about shooting both calibers.

Re: 327 vs 357 Henry
I have the .327 I love it
.32S&W longs still have enough of a bark that I want sound attenuators of some sort
it is about as loud as a .22 LR out of a rifle of the same length barrel
I have shot a marlin .357 with .38s and .357 the .38 are louder then the .32 longs by quite a bit
hard choice between the 2 rifles
that marlin ( with a micro grove barrel) shoots like pointing you finger
but the henry is smooth as glass

Re: 327 vs 357 Henry
Not much difference between 357 and 327 for noise, same with 38 spl and 32H&R.
Haven't fired any 32long factories but with reloads at 1100fps it is about the same as subsonic 22lr, drop the velocity back to 850fps and it is like CCI quites or Z's. I was running some over the chrony at the farm less than 50m from the house, mum rang me to see if I had left as she hadnt heard a thing.
I did fire a few 32s&w, they are way to short to feed and have to be single loaded, I think I could hear the firing pin hit and with the light right you could see them travelling down range.

Mine's not much louder than a .22WMR. Easy to shoot as long as it stays healthy.
