Henry Single Shot online marketing

Post by tjay » Thu Jun 15, 2017 12:23 pm

Many internet marketers selling Henry Single Shot rifles offer then them with the expression "HENRY WISC DO NOT USE
HENRY WISC do not use Henry Singleshot Rifle" in the description.

What does this mean?

Here is an example https://www.spguns.com/products/henry-w ... 9835400031

My guess.

Looks like time sensitive promo copy supplied to distributors by Henry. It means the distributor is not allowed to use the copy until Henry gives the go ahead. This gives Henry time to tweak features if needed and prevents a backlog of orders that will take too long for Henry to fill. Looks like these guys either jumped the gun or forgot to edit the copy before release.

Someone may be talking to himself for this marketing post. I used to maintain/adjust web site data in my job, and would often put "markers" or "reminders" within the text to remind myself to do something, correct, or update. But you've got to be careful not to publish for general viewing.

So my guess it is an "OOPS." :?

Oh, yes. Welcome to the Henry Forum!

The SIngle shots should be available soon. When they didn't show up in May, I waited three whole days ;) and sent an E-mail, since I have one bought and paid for at a dealer practically in sight of the Rice Lake factory. The response said that there was a minor delay, but they should be out in few weeks. I promised not to bug 'em again until July :) .

It was been two years since the last post. Yesterday I finally gave in and bought the single shot in 308. :-)
