Thats a little dandy! Maybe I need to find a contender frame and build up a 357. I might just do that.

Ive looked at the CVA's but they dont come in 357. But they have good reviews. Ill be anxious to see when TC opens what there line up is. Im sure you could get a 357 on an encore frame

I will certainly give them a look, hope they have sights. There will always be things out ther that grab my attention, but I'm not mad at this Henry, it does all I ask very nicely and I suspect it's a keeper.

Speaking of the CVA's, Bandit just recently bought one in 444, but it has a 23.5" tube with a break.
So not really compact, but He's liking it pretty well so for.

If I ran across one in 300 BO Id be tempted to buy it. I have dies for that caliber here and brass is easy to come by.

You can get anything you want in a Contender or Encore barrel by going custom. Your best bet right now is MGM.

As for the Encore, TC didn't make Encore barrels the lighter revolver cartridges like the 357. They saved those for the Contender. In the Encore, TC went 44 mag and up for revolver cartridges. Not a lot of TC Custom Shop barrels were made for the Encore, either, since the Encore didn't appear till the late 90s and as soon as S&W bought TC, barrel selection dropped way off and the Custom Shop got closed.

And for whatever reason, TC didn't make a 357 mag in a Contender carbine barrel or even a Super 16 barrel, either. Closest you'll get is a 357 Max barrel and even those are rare in carbine lengths. Again, go custom.

New member. I have a H0-15-44. I had the barrel cut to 16.5 and threaded. I’m running a Silencerco Hybrid 46m suppressor and a Leupold VX Freedom 1.5-4 scope. She’s short and relatively quiet.
