Cool Targets

Post by BigAl52 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 11:53 pm

When I was in Washington lately I saw these on the shelf at Bass Pro Shop so I decided to order some online when I got home. I think these will be neat to shoot at. I have posted a link so you can check them out. Al

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I agree they'll be fun, BigAl. The only reactive target I have is a ground-crawl model, about 8" wide, in the shape of those game pieces called "jacks." It is pretty heavy, does jump when hit, but gets real still real quick. One way I make it more interesting is to hang it with a rope from a tree limb. Cool swinging when hit.

Your prairie dogs are more entertaining!
Enjoy!

Interesting targets, looking forward to your range report on them. The guy said you can shoot them with .22 to 50cal. Sure wish they would have shown video of one being hit with the 50.

I bought my first 2 from Natchezss shooters supply Jim. They were 59.99 ea plus Shipping. Then I found them again at ManVenture Outpost for 56.99 and 5% off with a sale on them so I bought one more. Yes there a little more money than some would want to spend for sure but when you see them in person I can understand the price a little better. I dont know if I would have gone for them not seeing one in person before I ordered one.

from those sources, with shipping they would be in the $60 range .... I found another video on them that provides some good info and an objective evaluation ====> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTaG20Eu8KM .... I'm sure my grandson would enjoy it as a target and, for the fact of the matter, so would I .. ;) .. hopefully you will be able to test yours soon .... I'd love to know how they would handle a larger caliber (44 mag or 45-70)

They say the prairie dog is self healing but I wonder how well the spring or base would stand up to being hit with larger calibers?
