Wheeler Firearms Accurizing Torque Wrench

Post by JEBar » Sun Aug 13, 2017 4:48 pm

over time I've twisted/broken several small screws by over tightening them and the smaller they are, the harder they seem to be to remove .... a while back I saw a friend's a Wheeler Torque Wrench .... it has an adjustment range from 10 inch/pounds to 65 inch/pounds .... must say I was and still am impressed .... have watched several YouTube video reviews that rate them highly .... I'm strongly considering ordering one, I believe it would be an often used tool

I've had one for years - worth every cent, especially when it comes to tightening stock bolts and scope rings etc. Image

I was just reviewing this Wheeler Torque Wrench on Amazon and found one of their suppliers (Terry Mat) advertising it for $10.00 + $5.49 shipping .... that's a new unit, not a used/reconditioned one .... I tend to believe that may be a mistake because the rest of their suppliers list prices around $45 +/- .... I just ordered one and got an Amazon and have an email conformation .... it is supposed to arrive next week .... if it is a mistake, I wonder if Amazon will make them honor the advertised price ????

I just ordered one from them, too. If it's not as advertised, Amazon will make it right.

mine toooooo .... no surprise .... I couldn't resist and called Amazon Customer Service .... English wasn't the first language for the fellow who answered the phone .... after a while I asked him to switch me to someone for whom English is their first language .... as expected, it was a mistake made by a contract seller .... after a few minutes he offered to place a $5 credit on our account which was fine with me ... ;)

Got mine off Amazon couple years ago . Great tool for torquing Acton screws, scope mounts and other sensitive stuff.

earlier today I used our Wheeler torque wrench for the first time .... I found it to be easy to set the desired torque and after a bit of use worked smoothly .... it is the first I've ever used that measured force in inch-pounds .... with small screws, that really comes in handy .... now that I have one, I'd hate to be without it
