This would be fun with a 10wt Fly Rod....

Freshwater saltwater Lakes, Ponds, Rivers, Streams talk about the ones that got away. Show us the ones that didn't.

Sub Titled French Video, but worth the five minutes... any fisherman can follow the video without sound... LOL.

Give me a day with a heavy fly rod or baitcaster and a LARGE black lure... what a blast this would be!

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

We have Jacks like those here in South Texas. They are ambush hunters, not good to eat.

I only "catch release" so I'm not bothered with "keepers". These jacks put up a good fight - they turn sideways and that flat side is hard to reel in.
Fishing on a piers I usually get a bite just as I'm about to lift the bait out of the water - it always surprises me and I've lost a few trying to set the hook with the drag too light. They have a tough mouth (hard to set the hook) and will usually sneak up on the bait rapidly - you have to fish the bait all the way in.\M
