Newbie

I just got back into fishing last summer after of 40 years of not. A lot has changed, of course. A ton of web sites, gazillions of new lures, and....well you get the picture. Very confusing. My question is: is there a site that is geared toward the new fisherman or a returning fisherman? One that will refresh knowledge and not try to sell you gear that you don't need or know how to use. Thanks for your help.

Maybe when I relocate, your buddy Mike, can give me a few tips on fishing NC waters.
