Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry

Newbie
I just got back into fishing last summer after of 40 years of not. A lot has changed, of course. A ton of web sites, gazillions of new lures, and....well you get the picture. Very confusing. My question is: is there a site that is geared toward the new fisherman or a returning fisherman? One that will refresh knowledge and not try to sell you gear that you don't need or know how to use. Thanks for your help.

Re: Newbie
the reality is, the goal is usually to sell all the gear possible .... what I have seen that often approaches instruction on techniques comes each spring Cabala's and Bass Pro hold seminary .... I've been to several and have always fell it was time well spent
