You meet the nicest people...

Post by BrokenolMarine » Mon Apr 03, 2017 11:31 am

Miss Tina and I have attended some of the fly fishing festivals and events in the VA area and met a lot of great folks. Any fly fishing or fly tying folks out there might recognize the man in the picture with my Misses. He is well known the world over as a fly fisherman and instructor... with videos and books on fly fishing and fly casting....

He was as nice as could be, and offered not only fly tying and casting advice to those who attended the festival, but sat at the table next to us, and was polite and pleasant to all around him. Not often the case with "well known" guests at events we have attended. I can name several I have met that were downright rude when they were not behind the podium giving the 30 minute talk they were paid to give. 8-)

Have you placed him yet? Lefty Kreh. A true Gentleman in my book.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.

It's nice to hear that there are still some people whose fame hasn't gone to their head, and after seeing some of Miss Tina's fly tying handiwork, I bet Lefty learned a thing or two himself! ;) :D

I'm not into fly tying of fly fishing, I have no clue who he may be .... nonetheless, its good to hear positive comments about someone who clearly has an impact on others
