Ice fishing, while it definitely has its strong points, tends for some reason to attract idiots.

Just because the ice can support the weight of a car.
Doesn't mean you can park rows of cars next to each other, like at wally world .

I have been tempted to take the truck out on the ice when others do, then I remember that I haven't bored a hole yet and don't know the thickness.

I go back to camp and walk out to the bay and bore a hole.

I do have a new shelter to try out this year, hopefully I will get a chance.

I have driven on lake Champlain, a few times
Ice fishing, that's up to 300' deep
But we had 20-27" of ice
My ice anger was all the way up to the gear box, when it
Finally broke tru
