Ballistic advantage 223 wylde barrel

Post by Oldbrass » Sat Sep 19, 2020 10:25 pm

Installed a ballistic advantage 223 wylde barrel on the boring AR to spruce it up a bit. 1/2" MOA. Rang the 6" at 300 meters all day. Not bad for cheap 55 gr reloads. Tommorow I'm taking the .22 Henry golden boy for some real fun !

Good shooting. I like to take out the 22s for a day of cheaper shooting fun too. Enjoy.

not being an AR style rifle fan, I'd never heard of a ballistic advantage 223 wylde barrel .... thanks for posting about it, as a result I've done some reading and it appears to be a good product

Ive got that barrel on a Barnes Precision Machine AR. I haven’t shot it at 300 yards but what I have shot with it it shoots very well. Get that Golden Boy out and shoot some tennis balls at 50 yards with iron sights for a challenge

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Hmmmm - Tennis balls @50 yards. I'm wondering how that would work if you ran a string through them and hung them. Yeah, hit them once and they're moving, but that sounds like a pretty fun challenge.

Thats what I did. Small hole on one side bigger on the opposite side. Push the string or small rope in my case through tie a knot and its a hanger. It was fun they will take quite a few hits. Even hit one with the 357.
