Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
1st time on the range
1st time on the range
Finally able to get out and put a few rounds down range. Let me say the Henry 357/38 is a tack driving beast. I was unable to find 357 anywhere so I picked up a couple of boxes of Blazer brass 38's (125 FMJ). I had 2
mis-feeds during the first 10 rounds due to operator error but the next 90 were sweet!! We were shooting at 50 yards and destroying mini clays with almost every shot. Cycling was smooth and the rifle performed flawlessl, recoil....really, I think my 22 kicks a little bit more . I didn't get a chance to shoot past 50 but time out we'll it for a little stretch......

Sounds like you enjoyed your outing!!
No doubt...I love my BBS 357. It is a very popular one amongst the members here!
Would like to hear about your next range trip after you find some 357's. By the way, the mis feeds were not necessarily your fault.
From what I've learned, the rifle doesn't always care for the shorter length of the 38's. I have never shot anything but 357's in mine.

Clay pidgeons; in the air or on the ground is always a fun time. Got two boxes of 'em in the garage. Hmm.

Think I'll pick up a box this season.
We should finally be heading to the mountain cabin soon where I do my shooting.

Yep the Henry 357 BB is a nice accurate shooter as you found out! Shoots my .38 Special load of 158 RNFP over 5.5 Power Pistol very well.
The "hot" .357 Mag load for the Henry folk here is the famous MB 180 gr. Pug loaded with 11.5 Alliant 2400. Very accurate in the Henry!
Maybe check in to reloading at some point Chugbug!

Sounds like you had a Blast pun intended.
The 357 out of a rifle is just so much fun.
But don't underestimate them, they are very capable of putting meat on the table also.
Personally have done so, and as Forty said those 180 gr pugnose pills are a hoot.
