left hand shooting vs. right hand with Evil Roy..
Down at the range this morning to get more trigger time with my new .357 Evil Roy revolver and wanted to try a test.
Now I am a left handed person but do shoot my rifles right handed and when doing mechanical things use either hand just as well.
So I put up two targets and shot 24 rounds of those .357 Mag 180 gr. MB Pugs loaded with 11.6 gr. of 2400...the preferred load for the Henry.
12 shots on each target one for left handed shooting and one for right handed shooting and standing 10 yds. out one handed shooting.
On each target there were a few wild shots...getting warmed up.... to the outer edges of each target and the rounds tended to come in closer to center.
Now I must mention that I am right eye dominate so that can be an issue when shooting with left hand.
So these are the results!
Later while just plinking at the big gong from about 40 yds. I seemed to score more repeatable hits when shooting my .38 Special +P 125 gr. loads.
I noted that the 180's tend to hit higher as you can see on targets and on my gong the Specials were lower hits.
My thinking this revolver is more suited for shooting .38 Specials and it is fun shooting those!
I'm planning on loading up +P Specials using 158 gr. MB round nose bullets loaded with 5.6 of Power Pistol and see how those shoot and those could
be the load for the Evil Roy for general plinking.
The 180 Mag loads don't seem to cause any pain shooting but you can tell it is a good load with some punch . 38 Specials better for extended easy plinking I think.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Well done. Not everyone can shoot with both hands so well. How do standard 158s shoot for you?

Nice shooting forty, I do practice some with the off hand with the rifles, but not really tried it with the pistols.
