Chilly range

Post by dasmoeturhead » Sun Mar 08, 2020 10:18 am

Little chilly range day. I changed the grips on the 1911 after 5 years, and also new hand loads. Still have some work to do.
New 9mm M&P, Getting used to it. Typical me though shooting to the left. Aw, but practice sure is fun. Here's some pictures. Off hand at 15 yds, with a decent cold headwind.

It's a Colt Goverment 70 series. For the past 5 years I've been using the Crimson Trace laser grips (rubber). I decided to put the wood grips on. 2 weeks ago I could hit the skillet at 50 yds with the same pistol😟
Now the 9mm M&p I just have to get used to it some more. I might put the rubber grips back on the. 1911. IDK.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Good shooting in those chilly conditions. That's a neat little spot to shoot.

Darn good range and shooting there. Maybe I ought to take my 1911 .45 back to the range. Been a while.

What load are you using with the .45 1911? Good shootin' in the chill!

That's Hornady cases, CCI 300 Primer, 4.7 grains of Bullseye, with a Hornady
230 gr FMJ/RN, with a taper crimp.

Love shooting 1911s. Looks like you do, too. Nice work. Very cool Colt, by the way.
