I'm getting ready to leave for the range to shoot the Henry. Hopefully the rain will hold off. I'll post the targets when I get back home

Well, it started raining just as I got there but stuck it out. It was a frustrating outing. I took two boxes of Federal .327 and only shot 23 of the first box. The other 27 didn't fire. I've had light strikes before but they usually go off on a second pull of the trigger. This Henry has been a pita since I got it. It went back to Henry once before for headspace issues. I'm really tempted to sell it and be done.

I guess that would be up to you Jake but Id sure send Anthony an email with the picture of those rounds you posted here and let him know its not working right still. Sorry about the frustration but I understand how you feel.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

WOW! I'm really sorry to hear that.
I also had problems with mine when I first got it.
The same problem, light primer strikes resulting in misfires.

I set it back to Henry and they seem to have remedied the problem.
I have not had a light strike since it's return.
I don't think Federal has particularly hard primers, so that shouldn't be an issue.

I would call customer service, or send an Email to Anthony Imperato.
If it comes to his attention I'm sure the issue(s) will be corrected.

I was impressed enough with mine that I bought a second one, identical to the first.
It is still new in the box and unfired so I have no idea if it has any problems or not.
I'm in no hurry to try it out. I like the idea that it has never been fired, but that does raise the question of whether or not it will!

I wish you luck Jake, and like I said, I'd try to bring it to Mr. Imperato's attention.
Please let us know how things turn out.

I have about 30 firearms of different makes. This is the only one I've ever had an issue with. I sent Tom an email asking if there was a part that could be sent because I really wasn't interested in taking off the scope and mount, sending it back, then having to remount the scope and sight it in again. If they don't have a part suggestion it's going to the LGS as a trade.

This is disturbing, I haven’t shot mine yet but did just renew my rifle club membership so will be getting out in the next week (ish). I’ll report back when I do. I have several boxes of the Federal 100 grain I will be shooting, I imagine that’s the load you tried?

No,I was shooting 85 gr. Tom Kotz emailed me back and Henry wants me to ship it back. I won't state my reply on the forum. Honestly, I probably will in a day or two. I don't want anyone else having a issue with it.
