Might give my Red Dot load a try in the 1873 Winny. Seems to work well in my Colt style .45 revolver.

Now red dot has worked better for me than Unique as well. I have a bunch loaded with 6.5 grains and they shoot very well.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

 Some of us have to work every now and then.
Then when I did get home, the #2 grandson is here, he and I have been goofing off. ;)

I did get a little over a dozen loaded before I left this morning.
Maybe tomorrow.

Work? Yeah that's what it is when I'm trying to get out the bed at 7:30 in the mornings. I don't miss scraping the frost/ice off the windshield
at 6:00 AM!! Used to work 6:30 to 3:00 PM after I made it to daylight shift.

You probably wont find much for lead bullets with 2400. All of mine show 2400 with jacketed bullets.
Pretty much my finding also Al. Think I'll stick with Unique or Universal. Didn't get out to the range today, a little maintenance on my truck. Dang priorities.

2400 works well with Ruger loads using 250-300 gr. hard cast bullets.
