Come the 200 meter looking back South at the 600 yard benches.
The snow is in shadow most of the day.

Fairly heavy cloud cover Tuesday. Realy had to concentrate on focusing on the front sight.
I was able to get my Pig and Ram sight setting. for off the shelf 25-20 Remington core lock 86g sp.
I've been reloading the 86 cases I got off the internet, 3 and four time already.
With the cost of 25-20 ammo, I've been buying what I can, when I can. With Six boxes of 50 cartridge cases, I broke out two to unload and reaload.
I've already sighted in for reloads using H4895 and 86 grain Missouri BC coated bullets.
Figure I'll keep the internet batch separate and start reloading the once fired.

Looks like a nice range. We do not have that much area to shoot here.

I brought my 30-30 xlr along to do a rough sight setting.
I had a 4x scope on it but I switched it ok for a Williams 336 FP/tk reciever sight.
A good friend of mine gave me 2 boxes of the Barry's 30-30 150 plaTed. I never shot plated in the xlr. With the xlr's Ballard rifling and slower twist,(slower than a micro-groove Marlin) they may work very well.
Well any way, I usually use the 200 yard burm to star sighting in. Pick . rock or something. Note dust plume , how far the miss was up and down, make a adjustment, shot....
Usually get there pretty fast. Only no dust plumes.
Also forgot about the kick.
150 grain Sie fp with 29 grain IMR30-31. Pretty close to the traditional load for 30-30.
Off the bags as I had it, still have a soar shoulder. Bags should have been higher and I would taken it more like free hand.
