Spring has sprung. Get out and shoot your Henry
Sept 14th Sidegate
Sept 14th Sidegate
Heres to ya RR finally got out to go shooting. Took the 338 Win Mag to check for elk season along with 2 Henrys. The 38-55 sidegate with some more test loads and my CCH Carbine in 357 that I had not shot yet. My only target picture is from the 38-55. To say Im extremely happy with the 38-55 is an understatement. It shoots very well and im not so sure that if I put a scope on it that it wouldnt stack this load right on top of each other. 10 shots 50 yards Henry iron sights and old eyes. I think I might be able to wander north to high rocky peaks of Alberta and help RR pick off a few Banditos

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Re: Sept 14th Sidegate
That's very impressive work with the un-scoped 38-55. As much as I use scopes, I'd be confident using that rig without one. Nicely, done, Al.

Double what has been said, Al. Impressive elder eye work proving out those iron sights.
Great shooting and range report!

Impressed! Seems you'll get along just fine with the .38-55 as is. Nice shooting there.
