Some more time shooting

Post by bandit1250 » Sun May 12, 2019 3:23 pm

It is awful to be retired and sit around on the back porch and shoot rifles when I could be working. :( So this is not a true range report but a back porch report. I have been playing around with the CZ Grand finale with different torque on the action screws and shims under the barrel and getting it dialed in real nice. This may end up to be the CZ I like the best and maybe just edge out my FS 452 22's. I shot some of the RWS Target rifle that I bought and it does well. I have three cases and all three being lot #'s. Two lot #'s do well in this rifle so I shot it at 40 yds. with both and they are about equal in accuracy. Shot a five shot group of each lot and already had tried them before and had a good idea on the accuracy. It was a good still evening and they were good to shoot some more later in a day or two. I shot again Saturday evening when it was calm. I had to shoot at 33 yds. due to the hard rain we had earlier that filled the field with water. So I used 22 empty casings for targets. Put them in two layers of card board rim facing out and colored black with a sharpie pen. I shot 24 casings but used 27 or 28 shots to hit them. One kept falling out of the card board so I put it in with the rim in the card board and shot at the front and got lucky and shot right in the end of it. The casings were shot with the lot# ending in L8. Here is the rifle. Picture from a previous evening.

Target from 40 yds. Then shot the four push pins out of the corners.

Shell casings from yesterday. The one on the right lower end was the one that was facing forward and the bullet went in the front.

I agree, one true beautiful CZ in the hands of an expert. Nicely done, bandit. Very impressive.
