My original reason for going to the range was to sight in my 25-20 Marlin fo the State Lever Actin Match next month. I started at 25 yards then moved to 50, 75 and 100 yards. The1894 is "on the money" and if I do my part...well, we'll see.
Next I got out my 10/22 with a red-dot sight. First surprise was the battery was still good, 2nd surprise was hw much fun it was to shoot!. Once I had it zeroed at 50 yards I became a real squirrel popper...10 quick shots into a 1" target at 50 yards. So much fun I had to do it five or six times.
The red-dot is a Bushnell with 3 min dot mounted about 14 inches from my eyes. I can shoot it with both eyes open and it a great deal of fun with cheap bulk ammo.
I'll be doing this again!
