By all means do some experimenting with the loads, RR. That's part of reloading. For heaven's sake, though, don't go fixing something that is not broken. Those loads appear to be doing just fine in your capable hands. Hang on to those.

Thanks, and yes...250 gr bullet, 6.6 grains of Universal powder seems to be a rocket going downrange with a big pile of wood splinters flying. Just what I was hoping for.

Whatever the bullet maker sells more of will usually be cheaper. The difference in materials is negligible.

If PT7 is a pistolero at 10 yds, I'd say that Ranch Roper is an Alberta Cow Rancher. I wouldn't mess with any Alberta Cow Ranchers myself. They can SHOOT!
