Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I don't know what RifleTom is thinking about, and I'm like a 9-year old in a candy store, just bouncing from wall to wall. And, Tad has the Single Shot Ownership Title so far, based on what I can tell.BigAl52 wrote:I wish you guys would hurry up and get a couple so those How many numbers would grow. Seems like it would be redundant, though, for Tom and I to get the same caliber...

You're gonna have to be more specific! Al is becoming aggressively enabling, so we need to decide soon!Rifletom wrote:Evan, you're not the only one NCG is enabling! Wheels be turning here.

Na we don’t care if ya both get the same caliber just get some bought. Look at it this way you guys will encourage others to get in the SS game.

Can't have too many single shots, no doubt about it. I'm trying, though.

Re: Sighting a couple of Singles
You're right about that. And the thing is, the Henry single shots are a bargain, considering what you get in wood, fit and finish, ease of fixing the trigger , etc. In three Henry's I have about the investment of one Ruger #1. And mine, at least, shoot about as accurately. Makes it hard not to keep buying them. I'm safe for the moment, but what if Henry adds some more interesting cartridge options ?

Since you seem to have experience with a breadth of calibers, what would the Pros and Cons be of a 223 SS vs., say a 44Mag SS. I'd reload for both, if that matters...steelersfan97 wrote:I enjoy shooting my H&R in 45 Colt signle shot and Henry .223 single shot more than any firearm I own except maybe the big boy in .357. It's a close race among those three.
I really couldn't say. I just shoot for fun. I don't get into the ballistics or stats so I really can compare calibers.
